LIVE_FOR Project
collects and analyzes information about the status of implementation of
the EIO Directive in EU Member States,
digital evidence related practices, best practices, and educational
needs by means of surveys, face-to-face meetings with target groups and
various analytical methods. It also includes a number of activities
dedicated to: the increase of the competences of
judicial authorities in the area of European investigation order,
digital evidence in the cloud, and live forensics such as assessment of
educational needs, development of training
curriculum, and organization of educational workshops; and the
establishment of two information centres in the Czech Republic and Spain
that
serve as points for face-to-face communication and exchange of
information between the partners and the target groups.
Now all LIVE_FOR findings are available online.
Deliverable D2.2 'Best Practices Report' presents the best practices that are expected to be followed in cases when application of the EIO Directive is applied. Besides the main instruction about application the document provides reasonable introduction to the main knowledge from relevant fields such as digital forensics and cross-border evidences collection from both aspects: technical and legal. This approach is understood by contacted experts to be most useful for the future professional in the respective organizations like prosecutors, judges, etc. in cases when the EIO Directive will be applied.
